Natalia Valles Garcia

I am Natalia Valles Garcia, a Mexican Documentary Photographer. Through my images I capture raw moments in life and human existence and experiences. In this exhibition includes two of my most recent projects.

Breaking Cycles is a project made up of black and white portraits paired up with a statement showcasing the person's experience(s) of being a first generation college student. In this series, you can see different experiences being shaped by family, culture, and environments.

Solitude & Sanitation is a project made up of black and white images that showcase the job of a sanitation worker and his journey on a typical shift. Sanitation workers have to work long and lonely hours as well as being in a dirty environment to keep our cities clean and safe. This series serves as a thank you to all sanitation workers who are often overlooked at and forgotten.
