Jen DeMint came to Columbia College Chicago as a transfer student in 2018 from Grand Rapids Community College. After her first internship at Wolverine Worldwide in an in-house photography studio, she was inspired to continue in this work. As a commercial photography student at Columbia, her world expanded greatly in the photography community. Jen had two other internships to lead her to where she is today. She spent three months assisting a Chicago local freelance photographer Ross Floyd in the spring of 2019. Then she interned at the Whirlpool Corporation in-house photography studio in Benton Harbor, Michigan. As her degree requirements were completed in December of 2019, she graduated with Magna Cum Laude in her class with a BA in Commercial Photography. Jen Continues to work as a freelance photographer, assistant, and retoucher in the West Michigan and Chicagoland area.
