Atefeh Farajolahzadeh is an Iranian immigrant Artist currently living in Chicago. She employs photography, video and writing to explore the idea of being elsewhere and the psychology of being in- between - the place of origin and her new place. Her work oscillates between abstraction, and representation, fiction and non-fiction. Farajolahzadeh received her MFA from Columbia College Chicago. She is chosen for Hyde Park Ground floor Biennial Exhibition 2020 in Chicago, and published stories in her native language in the magazines such as Golestaneh, one the most prestigious Iranian literary magazines.
