Since coming to Chicago, photographing the city has become an integral part of my artistic practice. Not only do I love wandering and documenting the in-betweens of life, but I also enjoy creating the art I see possible within this ever-changing landscape. By viewing the city as a sum of its parts and exploring the layered experience of existing within it, I began to understand it as a multidimensional entity. It’s become increasingly clear to me that the more you look, the more you see. Through this work I am able to use photography as a tool to understand the world around me and question my role within it through studying the patterns, elements, and the many figures that show up.
