My fine art work explores femininity, sexuality, religious trauma, and the relationships in between. As an artist, I take my personal experiences and turn them into my own visual language of expression, healing, and celebration. I grew up in a conservative world that limited my expression and made myself unsure of who I was and the expectations I had on me as a woman. Finding my voice in my own work, I praise the beauty of becoming. With portraiture, I focus on self expression through myself, as well as sharing the stories of others. With a background and admiration for painting, I focus on visual elements that make my photographs feel poetic and engaging, focusing on sensualities in form, color, and light. Additionally, I use these aesthetics in my work as a landscape and wedding photographer. I aim to invoke emotion and meaning in my storytelling.
